What is different now from all other solutions posted anywhere else (that i have seen) is that you can now actually "see" what was/is wrong with the game you will notice that game settings menu has shifted to "upper top left" - which is ok because at least you have cursor control and when it gets to the game is real full screen without borders. which is perfectly fine - it will maximize borderless fullscreen once it gets to the game itself. Now launch the game, you will notice that the launch initially starts in a small window with the game cut-scenes etc. *Now you're ready to launch the game but before you do make SURE that you open up Borderless Gaming (that you downloaded) - verify that you have added Dungeon Siege II to the list and keep it running while the game is launched and running. *Usually you just have to add this part Fullscreen=false height=1080 width=1920 nointro=true
in your shortcut/target box enter this (just make sure it matches the resolution you will be gaming at.Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dungeon Siege 2\DungeonSiege2.exe" Fullscreen=false height=1080 width=1920 nointro=true
In your DS2 launch options you will want this before you launch the game - (make sure your resolution is what you want it to be) and BTW I do not use the original shortcut that is placed in the desktop by steam I go to this path and place this one on the desktop (with admin control).Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dungeon Siege 2 Once setup is done (fast and easy) just add Dungeon Siege II This eliminates that issue and allows you to play real full screen and is also allows you to have full mouse cursor control in the game menu.ĭownload this utility called Borderless Gaming (from source forge and yes it's a safe download) Meaning everyone I know that has been able to play the game is playing it with the "bordered maximized windowed" way. This will allow you to play the game normally without borders/maximizing your non full screen game. Works for other popular resolutions too I did test it.
Dungeon keeper 2 on windows 10 1080p#
If you're like most of us, still gaming at 1080p do exactly this. It took me most of the night last might to figure it out, although not 100% it's as close as it's going to get for now and, it's rather simple too.
Then it's almost the same as borderless fullscreen. 1600x900 resolution) you can maximize the window. After you start the game in windowed mode (e.g. Obviously, there will be no Steam Overlay. The Main Menu will still be in 800圆00 (might be lower) resolution but once you enter the game it will default to whatever you specified.īy following these steps you will be able to play the game in windowed mode using a custom resolution. Open the shortcut and insert the following text in the "Target:" field afted the quotation marks:įullscreen=false width=1600 height=900 - You can change the values of "width" and "height" in order to play with a resolution that is comfortable for you. Use the DS2VideoConfic tool and select your actual video card (In my case it defaulted to something that was not my video card). Go to your game directory in the Steam folder (Steam->steamapps->common->Dungeon Siege 2). I was able to run the game with a simple and easy fix.
